When it comes to weed startups, you really don’t have to manage it alone. Fortunately we can tell you about resources that are available to help you manage the startup of your business.
One such company that works with weed startups is called CanopyBoulder. CanopyBoulder‘s goal is to “accelerate the legal cannabis industry”. They not only provide up to $70,000 in capital, but they even run a 16-week mentor-driven boot camp! They are looking for innovative, cannabis ideas in several areas including technology, media, events, lighting, grow nutrients, and more. They are definitely worth checking out.
Another great, interesting resource is the Minority Cannabis Business Association. This organization is the first non-profit organization created specifically to progress the cannabis industry by increasing diversity. Their focus is on economic empowerment, social justice, and patient awareness. They are big on education and connecting cannabis contacts with one another.
There is also a sort of Shark Tank for the cannabis business called The Marijuana Show where cannapreneurs can pitch their business ideas to a group of investors. In season two of The Marijuana Show, over ten million dollars was distributed to budding entrepreneurs! This show is produced by Green Equity Media who brings together investors, entrepreneurs, and others to grow businesses in the cannabis industry.
As you can see, the industry is growing. More and more investors are looking to cash in on the “Green Rush”, and there are educational, mentorship and other resources available that can help you. You do not have to tackle your startup alone!
