Do you get confused on the different weights of marijuana? Have you ever felt like you needed to be a mathematician to be able to express how much weed you want to buy when you’re at a dispensary nearby? Grams, eighths, quarters, ounces, it all gets pretty confusing at first, but it shouldnt be. Marijuana weight conversions are actually pretty simple.
Gram
While you can buy things like a pre-roll, a gram is generally the smallest amount of weed that is sold at a dispensary or collective.
Eighth
An eighth is the equivalent of 3.5 grams. The term “eighth” refers to 1/8 of an ounce.
Quarter
A quarter is 1/4 of an ounce. A quarter is also equal to 2 eighths or 7 grams
Half
A half is 1/2 of an ounce. A half is equal to 2 quarters or 4 eighths or 14 grams
Ounce
An ounce is equal to 4 quarters, 2 half ounces, 8 eighths, or 28 grams.
Pound
A pound is a ton of weed. It’s also equal to 16 ounces or 64 quarters. It’s 128 eighths or 448 grams.
Hopefully this helps you understand how what different amounts of weed look like. Now that you know what each amount looks like, it’s time to find a dispensary with great prices.

This is super helpful. I am terrible at math so the visual totally helps me.
I had no clue an ounce was that much!

That’s only a visual scale for that bud that was grown… So other strain/phenos and type of grow indoor or out door… Also how stressed out the plant was. P.s. least amount of stress. Plus curing will end in the final weight.
Great points!
John, it’s an accurate one. They could have used one cola for each and confused everyone. Best to use what most are used to as this seemingly is designed to educate many who don’t know. I grow and I’ve learned new things here.
