How to Make a Cannaburger


A medicated hamburger, the cannaburger – sounds delicious, right? This recipe is simple and is sure to delight your taste buds. This recipe can also be converted to a vegetarian or vegan burger for those who aren’t carnivorous.



Roughly 3 to 3.5 grams of quality marijuana, ground into a fine powder

1 lb. ground beef – the fattier meat, the better the burger

(for vegetarian burger, sub beef with ground meat substitute)

1 T. extra virgin olive oil

1 egg (substitute with egg replacer for vegetarian burger)

1 tsp. ground mustard powder (optional)

1 ½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Other add-ins include: minced garlic or garlic powder, chopped onion of choice, fresh herbs

Buns, cheese of choice, and condiments if desired



Using your hands, mix ALL of the ingredients together in a large bowl, being sure the cannabis and other ingredients have been spread evenly throughout the meat. Form the mixture into patties and place on a clean plate or pan until you’re ready to cook those bad boys. In the meantime, be sure to wash your hands after handling raw meat.

Preheat a grill, or frying pan, to medium-high heat. Place the patties onto the heated surface and flip once, about 4-5 minutes on each side (this will depend on your preferences). Once the burgers have been flipped, add on a slice of cheese to melt – yum!

While the burgers are cooking, prepare the buns and condiments. Optional garnishes include lettuce, tomato, onions, and sprouts.

Once the burgers have been cooked to your desired taste, place them onto the prepared buns and enjoy!
