So what about a marijuana infused pie recipe? If you’re already familiar with the magic of cannabutter, then you’re ready to step into the magical world of marijuana-infused pie. Here are three traditional and much loved holiday pies — and a special way that you can make them even more loved!

Apple Pie

  • 2 sheets refrigerated pie crust
  • 6 Cups apples – cored, peeled, and sliced (try a mixture of tart and sweet, like Granny Smith and Honey Crisp)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ? cup dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ? cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ? teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1½ cups cannabutter, cubed
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Place 1 dough sheet in a greased pie plate. Poke holes in bottom of dough and refrigerate.
  3. Combine apple slices and lemon juice in a large bowl, tossing well. Add sugars, flour, salt, and spices. Toss thoroughly, coating all apple slices.
  4. Remove bottom of pie from fridge. Dump apple filling into pie. Scatter cubes of cannabutter over top of filling in an even pattern.
  5. Place second sheet of pie dough over pie and firmly press down edges, pinching to form a crimped crust. Cut a small “x” across the top to allow steam to vent from the pie.
  6. Bake for one hour, or until filling is bubbly and crust is brown. If you notice edges browning too quickly, wrap with aluminum foil to prevent burning.
  7. Allow to cool for at least 2 hours before cutting and serving.

Pumpkin Pie

  • 1 sheet refrigerated pie crust
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cannabutter, melted
  • 1 15oz can pumpkin puree
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ tablespoon ginger
  • ? teaspoon ground cloves
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Place dough in a greased pie plate. Pinch edges to form a crimped crust. Poke holes in bottom of dough, and refrigerate.
  3. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Pour into shell and bake for 40-50 minutes — try not to bake so long that the pie cracks!
  4. Allow to cool for at least 1 hour before cutting and serving.

Pecan Pie

  • 1 sheet refrigerated pie crust
  • ¾ stick unsalted butter — with 2 ounces of it prepared as cannabutter and melted
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • ¾ cup light corn syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups pecan halves, reserving one handful (if you want to get fancy)
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Place dough in a greased pie plate. Pinch edges to form a crimped crust. Poke holes in bottom of dough, and refrigerate.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, eggs, and salt. Fold in pecan halves.
  4. remove pie from fridge and pour in filling. If above fanciness is desired, arrange remaining handful of pecan halves across the top of the pie. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the pie wobbles just slightly (in pie lingo, “set”).
  5. Cool for at least two hours and serve with fresh whipped cream.

Pie day is a special day that only comes one a year, so celebrate it well!
