Most people who use marijuana have heard the coined phrase, ‘Danksgiving’ and have surely always dreamed of having their own. To start off our Danksgiving Feast Series, we start with the main event: A THC Turkey.
1 medium-sized (12- to 15-pound) turkey
1/2 cup cannabis butter
¼ cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon sweet basil
1 teaspoon thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon sage
Step 1: Melt cannabis butter in sauce pan on low heat. Then mix in the seasoning/spices and lemon juice.
Step 2: Make a small incision in the skin of the turkey. Put your finger into the slit to put the meat injector in and squeeze half of the cannabis butter into the turkey.
Step 3: Cook turkey according to size – for a 12-15lb turkey, it should take about 3 1/2 hours. Use the remaining cannabis butter to spread on turkey every 30 minutes or so while cooking.
When your turkey is 180 degrees in the thigh, it should be complete. Serve with your favorite sides, and share the love and invite your friends. They’ll be practically begging you to come take part in your delicious, cannabis infused feast!
