Is Weed the new Wine?

With the legalization of marijuana in Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Alaska, the once taboo pastime is becoming more acceptable to the mainstream public. Where once you might plan a night of wine and cheese, now is it edibles and Settlers of Catan?

A new study by Avvo states that over 70 percent of consumers surveyed in Colorado and Washington believe that bringing weed to a party will be as normal as bringing a bottle of wine. But does this really mean that Weed is the new Wine?

Will that 70% also take part in the festivities?

The Evolving Cannabis “Brand”

President Obama is even on the record saying, “As has been well documented, I smoked pot as a kid, and I view it as a bad habit and a vice, not very different from the cigarettes that I smoked as a young person up through a big chunk of my adult life,” Obama told the New Yorker’s David Remnick. “I don’t think it is more dangerous than alcohol.”
