Cannabis plants have a unique class of compounds that are called cannabinoids. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidol (CBD) are the two main things that make up the cannabinoids found in marijuana. Plants. While both cannabinoids, CBD and THC are very different.
THC is the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. It’s what makes people feel” high. THC is what recreational marijuana users look for in most cases.
On the other hand, CBD, is non-psychoactive, so it won’t get you high. While this makes CBD less appealing for recreational users, it is often used as a medicine since it has minimal side effects.
